Season three of hulu’s Solar Opposites premieres July 13. The eleven episode season centers around a team of four aliens who are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo and Yumyulack only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry and Jesse love TV, junk food and fun stuff. In season three, this alien team strives to be less of a team and more of a family team. 

Season two of IFC’s Sherman’s Showcase will premiere in the fall. In celebration of Juneteenth, IFC is airing an 8-episode marathon on June 19, including the one-hour special Black History Month Spectacular at 9:30am. The witty, irreverent and wholly original series features sketches, dancers, fake commercials, movie trailers, cultural nostalgia, the funkmonster, A-list guest stars and original songs that definitely climbed the fictional charts. Each episode of the series is hosted by Sherman McDaniels as he takes viewers through time, via music and comedy drawn from the 40-year library of a legendary (but fictional) musical variety show. 

Hallmark has renewed When Calls the Heart for a tenth season. In season nine, Hope Valley saw a state of growth, with the foundry’s progress and the evolution of key relationships. The mayoral race had the town buzzing with a few members of the town running against one another. Elizabeth and Lucas focused on their relationship beyond courtship, and as she got to know Lucas better, she learned about his past which gave Elizabeth pause about their future. 

Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal premieres on HBO July 15. The series explores the lengths one man will go to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors, and seemingly unlimited resources, Fielder allows ordinary people to prepare for life’s biggest moments by “rehearsing” them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design. When a single misstep could shatter your entire world, why leave life to chance? 

HBO Is developing a Game of Thrones sequel series focusing on Jon Snow. Original star Kit Harington is attached to the project. This will be the first potential series to serve as a sequel to the original series. The network is already developing a bunch of prequel series with the first series House of the Dragon set to premiere August 21. 

Peacock’s The End Is Nye will premiere August 25 with all six episodes. The series sends Bill Nye into the most epic global disasters imaginable - both natural and unnatural – and then demystifies them using science to show how we can survive, mitigate, and even prevent them. Each stand- alone episode takes a hell-bent dive into the mystery and terror of one specific threat. Every catastrophe is abundant with thrills, but also offer hope and a way forward – a scientific blueprint for surviving anything that comes our way.

Will Forte will star in Netflix’s Bodkin. Also joining the series are Siobhan Cullen, Robyn Cara, David Wilmot, and Chris Walley. The series is a darkly comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined. As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction – about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves – the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears. 

The original co-hosts of ABC’s The View reunite for Behind the Table: A View Reunion, set to premiere on hulu June 20. The special takes viewers inside the hotel room at the Essex House hotel in New York City where current and original co-host Joy Behar, the show’s first moderator Meredith Vieira and original panelists Star Jones and Debbie Matenopoulos auditioned 25 years ago. The four women Barbara Walters chose to join her at the Hot Topics table in 1997 reunite for a candid conversation about the talk show that has been making headlines since Walters first uttered the phrase, “I had this idea for a show.” They look back on what it was like to work with the legendary broadcaster, discuss some of their famous exits from the show and share their biggest regrets and the moments that bonded them behind the scenes.

Prime Video’s Wilderness will star Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, the series features British couple Liv and Will who seem to have it all: a rock-solid marriage; a glamorous new life in New York thousands of miles from their provincial hometown; and still young enough to feel that their whole lives are ahead of them. Until Liv learns about Will’s affair. Heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. Revenge is her only option, and when Will proposes a trip around America’s epic National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start, Liv knows just how to get it…Wilderness is a twisted love story, where a dream holiday and a supposedly “happily-ever-after” quickly turns into a living nightmare. 

New talk show The Jennifer Hudson Show has been cleared in over 95% of the country. It will make its premiere starting September 12 on Fox Television Stations, Hearst Television, Sinclair Broadcast Group, TEGNA, Nexstar Media Group, Scripps Media, and Gray Media Group, among other station groups.

Disney+ has set a premiere date for the upcoming series Zootopia+. The animated series will premiere November 9. The series is based on the film Zootopia and will explore more of the characters. 

TNT’s Snowpiercer will end with season four. The news comes as most scripted series on the network and others have been coming to an end or canceled following the merger into Warner Bros. Discovery.

Britt Robertson has been cast in ABC’s upcoming new series The Rookie: Feds. The series was spun off of the cop drama series The Rookie. Niecy Nash-Betts stars in the series along with Frankie Faison and Felix Solis. 

Vince McMahon has stepped aside as WWE CEO due to an ongoing investigation into misconduct. Stephanie McMahon has been named interim CEO and chairwoman. Vince McMahon will continue creative control of the WWE during the investigation. 

ABC News has set a special edition of 20/20 focusing on the Making of the upcoming film Elvis. Exclusively Elvis: A Special Edition of 20/20 will air June 21 at 10. The special features exclusive, rare interviews with Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie Presley, ex-wife Priscilla Presley and granddaughter Riley Keough as they reflect on the film and 45 years without Elvis Presley. It will also feature interviews from Graceland with cast members Tom Hanks and Austin Butler, and director Baz Luhrmann on bringing the “King of Rock and Roll’s” story to life. 

The new season of HGTV’s Good Bones premieres July 12. Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E Laine are back in a new fourteen episode season. Mina, a real estate agent and mom of two, and Karen, a lawyer, will continue to buy more dilapidated properties in their hometown of Indianapolis, demo them down to the studs and renovate them into dazzling family homes. This season, Mina will focus on even more ways to expand their home reno business. With the real estate market in flux, Mina and Karen will branch out into new neighborhoods and take on client renovation projects. And, for the first time ever, the pair will tackle a commercial renovation for a fellow female entrepreneur who is moving her bridal shop to a bigger space. 

Julia Chan has been cast in ABC’s Criminal Nature drama pilot. Chan joins Michaela McManus, Parker Young and Ian Duff. 

National Geographic celebrates 10 Years of Sharkfest beginning July 10 with more action packed shark programming across more platforms than ever before! Nearly 30 Hours of new, epic programming and over 60 Hours of enhanced content will span four weeks across National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo MUNDO and on Disney+, Hulu, Disney XD, ABC and ESPN.

Netflix’s Mom, Don’t Do That! premieres July 15. Based on a novel, a 60-year-old widowed mom decides to find love again through online dating – to the joy and annoyance of her two daughters. 

Season two of YouTube’s Super Sema premieres June 17. The new season features longer 11-minute episodes and sees Sema and her friends take even more exciting world-changing adventures, using their clever STEAM skills and inspired technovations to save their town of Dunia from an evil AI robot. Lupita Nyong’o voices the role of Mama Dunia in the series.
