We all love Game of Thrones… but what about Kit Harington? Is he a good actor? This video is one of my acting lesson videos, so if you’re not here for the acting tips, I’ll see you in another video. 🙂 Also, this has spoilers from Game of Thrones Season 7 (including the season finale).

Ok, ok.. obviously some clickbait there. Kit Harington is great. You don’t get on a show like Game of Thrones without some skill. 😉 So here’s a little video with some acting tips that you can pick up from what he did in Season 7 of Game of Thrones.

Here is the article I was talking about with Kit Harington & Emilia Clarke. It’s super short and mostly just them reacting to Jon Snow & Daenerys falling in love. But for context:

🔺 ACTING STUFF 🔺
If you are a beginner, I recommend reading the following books on acting. You really need to be in a live class to learn acting skills, but these books will give you the foundation you need to be great when you get into a class. award

A Challenge for the Actor by Uta Hagen:

Fine on Acting by Howard Fine:

The Actor and the Target by Declan Donnellan:

The books above do a great job of updating Stanislavski’s system (or method) and helping actors avoid common pitfalls.

It’s important to read Stanislavski’s work, so you have an idea of where modern acting technique comes from. However, don’t stop there. I would definitely give at least one of the acting technique books above a read as well.

Original translation ( An Actor Prepares ):
New translation (includes all books):

Acting: The First Six Lessons by Richard Boleslavsky

Boleslavsky taught Stanislavski’s work to the Group Theatre bunch… The Group Theatre is responsible for Method Actings rise in the United States. You should recognize some of their members: Lee Strasberg, Sanford Meisner, Stella Adler, Elia Kazan and Harold Clurman.
