It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived. Set in Hawkins in the fall of 1984, the story continues as supernatural forces once again begin to affect the town. While the season will service the first season’s core cast and characters first and foremost, several new characters have been revealed: tomboy Max and her older step-brother Billy, a woman named Roman connected to Hawkins Lab, RadioShack manager Bob Newby, Department of Energy agent Dr. Owens and disgraced journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist Murray Bauman.

in season one eleven is tested to see if she can kill a cat with her mind…does this suggest another test subject but this time with biokinesis maybe he or she will be a antagonist due to the dark origin of their powers

You seem to be missing a key piece of information. Â Remember, the Demogorgon had the ability to create its own temporary portals, which it did in the forest, Will's shed, the Byers house, and the elevator in the very first scene of the show. Â The thing is, these portals always closed after being open for a short amount of time. Â Remember the forest one closed back up after Nancy came back through it. Â It was the same with the Gym portal. Â The Demogorgon created it, and was most likely still open for a little while afterwards. Â Eleven was lucky to come across it before it closed. Â The gym was still open and it was the same hallways they were looking for dart in because of the lockers and the gym Mike and Max were in. Â So I VERY seriously doubt that portal is still open.
I think the Mind Flayer's next goal is to try to infect El. Â When she was closing the gate, it was the first and only time the Mind Flayer saw El and her powers. Â The Duffer Brothers said that the Flayer was now interested in the kids and especially Eleven. Â Its most likely angry yet intrigued. Â Infecting Eleven would give it SO much more power, I mean who could stop her? Â I think in the future it might temporarily or come close to infecting her but her powerful mind abilities could stop it. Â That will not stop the Flayer from going after other subjects like Kali.
