I have created this channel to work on reviews of TV series and Movies, comic book based ones more than others, but nonetheless movies based on games like War Craft and Assassin’s Creed are of special interest to me, and series and movies that get my interest such as The Expanse, The Man In the High Castle, Westworld, Game of Thrones are also included in my roster. I also do recaps of many series I watch even when not reviewing them.

I hope you like my content and I advise you to feel free to always communicate with me through PMs on Facebook and YouTube on possible areas of improvement and on special requests you would like to see on my channel.

  1. You sounded fine. One of the better episodes. Yes, Jenny is real. Clare found out a hard lesson about men … they are not picky. Men wouldn't have cried in this century.

  2. I didn't like this episode and I'm a die hard fan of the series. Jamie never really took responsibility for his deception and seemed to cast the "blame" on Claire. I would like to see Jamie a little more p/oed at Laogheire and not letting her off the hook AND willing to pay her an outrageous sum to boot, for the sake of the "girls". Jenny wasn't anything like I thought she would be but rather a *itch in the worst way possible. Claire signed over ownership of Lallybroch to wee James and this is how she's treated when she comes "home"? And instead of staying with Claire and explaining things to her after Laogheire leaves, he chases after her and leaves Claire alone?? Who is more important to him?? And why hasn't Claire bothered to tell Jamie how Frank had a mistress for the entire time they were married and stayed only for Bri, then was going to leave her to marry "Candy"…(lol, Sandy)?? Alot missing in this episode for me and the connection/spark between Sam and Catriona seems diminished somehow, IMO although its certainly there in MTVs' couples therapy!!! So glad to see Ned. Gotta love that dude!

  3. Your voice was fine.Jenny is a controlling bitch.Loved and would have wanted the "angry sex" scene go on some more glad they showed how good a father Jamie was in a short period of time..

  4. Great review although I'm curious as to why you didn't address the fight between Claire & Jamie? You went from talking about the "low blow" Jamie made about Claire leaving him right to Jenny's scolding of the two for causing such a scene in the house. There was quite a bit of "meat" in between those two moments which you never addressed. For me, Claire & Jamie's heated argument had been brewing ever since she came back into his life and was one of the most pivotal scenes in the episode. There is still a great deal of hurt & resentment between Claire & Jamie (naturally so) over how each of their lives were spent during the 20yrs they were apart and it was both appropriate & fantastic to see a bit of that anger finally come to a boil. The wonderful chemistry between Catriona & Sam make scenes such as this one so heated & electric. Definitely a joy to watch for sure. Anyways, I was just curious if you omitted reviewing the scene on purpose and what your own thoughts were on it. Keep up the great reviews!

  5. This was, by far, my favorite episode this season. I had thought none could surpass A Malcolm for me but I was wrong, First Wife was just amazing. From the writing, directing, acting, kudos to the whole cast for an exceptional hour of Outlander. I was so glad that Laura Donnelly (Jenny) got a much deserved chance to shine in this episode. She is one of my favorite characters & I love watching her onscreen.

I read the books in concert with the episodes so as not to spoil things for myself (too much). IMO this adaptation closely mirrored the book, I was so not disappointed. I laughed, I cried, I loved every minute of it. And, perhaps, of course I do not know, they chose to portray the scene where Laoghaire shoots Jaime they way they did due to time constraints. In any event, when I watch Outlander I do so with an open mind & because I inadvertently tripped across this series midway through its 1st season & fell in love with it. I don't expect it to be perfect. I am so grateful to Diana Gabaldon for creating this rich world of characters, to Caitriona & Sam for their remarkable portrayals of Claire & Jaime & all the cast & staff that work so hard to bring Diana's books to life. I am truly in awe of what all these talented folks have accomplished.

  6. Nice recap of the episode. I very much enjoyed this episode even though I was worried about it after episode 307 which I did not like at all. My only disappointment was in the ending conversation. The writers spent most of episode 307 showing how hard it was to go back. Claire decides she will remain with Jamie and that she loves him while treating him for the fever, post gun shot. She should no longer be undecisive. In truth we have had only one episode of the love sorry. I hope it is not a minor part of the last five episodes.

  7. I was one to complain about Jaime not crying. I still think he should’ve broke down a little when he saw the pictures, but I love how he played Jaime in this episode. I don’t mind him not crying as much as I did now. This was the best episode do far I think. It had all emotions. The only thing I was disappointed with was how fast it moved towards the end of the episode. Another great review though
