EastEnders spoilers: Heartache ahead for Lauren Branning as her hunky boss returns to her life – but his ex threatens her not to get involved with him
Looks like there will be plenty of drama for actress Jacqueline Jossa to deal with before she’s sacked from the show
As EastEnders fans will no doubt be aware, Jacqueline Jossa is about to be written out of the show.
The 25-year-old soap star is said to be “nervous for the future” and “considering her options” after learning her character, Lauren Branning, is to be axed from the long running BBC show.
However it looks like there will be plenty of drama for her character before she finally leaves Albert Square.
Matters of the heart will take a dramatic turn for the character – as Lauren’s boss (and on-off love interest) Josh Hemmings (Game of Thrones actor Eddie Eyre) comes crashing back into her life.
In scenes due to air next week, Lauren will return to work following the death of her fiancé, Steven Beale (who was played by Aaron Sidwell).
Lauren and Josh’s sexual chemistry will be palpable, but the appearance of his ex-girlfriend, Imogen, will throw a spanner in the works.
Right before Lauren and Josh can grow close, Imogen will threaten Lauren and warn her to stay away from her former man.
The exchange eaves Lauren rattled, and when Josh makes a move, she rebuffs him.
As her feelings become confused, Lauren opts to work from home – only to be shocked when Josh turns up at her house to confront her.
Lauren is then forced to reject Josh again, leaving him confused.
Emotions are likely to take a further turn when Lauren discovers the company she and Josh are working for has dramatic plans for Albert Square – with the climax of all the tension no doubt reaching a head before Lauren quits Walford.
