  1. I seriously disagree with no 3 a lot of people got into anime only coz of dbz and many shounen anime like Naruto exist in the first place due to dbz also another misconception is anime is for kids and are cartoons atleast it has a better storyline and better characters than any non animated serials

  2. Person: "Why do you watch anime?"
Me: "Because I like the stories…"
Person: "But isn't all anime really childish and silly?"
    Me: "…"
    Person: "…"
Me: "Attack on Titan, Blood -C, Another, Corpse Party, Madoka Magica, Elfen Lied, When They Cry, Hellsing, Shiki, Highschool of the Dead" etc.

  3. I watch Dragon Ball Z, but I don't know why it's so popular. most of the show is them grunting, charging up, destroying mountains and other rock formations, changing the weather to crazy thunder and lightning storms and breaking up the earth's crust. then a little fighting and dialogue. WTF?

  4. Where is the myth that all anime is hentai? Seriously I can't believe I still have to deal with that one. Thankfully it seems to be dying out, but I've still come across the odd person who will be like, "Anime? like tentacles and little girls panties" and I'm like, here is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, come back to me tomorrow.

But most of my fam is either, its cartoons for little children, or its porn for adults. and a couple is like is porn for little children. But none of them seem to accept its cartoons for adults without me strapping them to a chair to watch some Inuyasha. Then they are like, its so its demons and devilry…

(Facepalm) Nevermind. You know what I'm okay with that one, It's demons and devilry. Now leave or shut up while Case Closed is on.

  5. No the lesson should be to accept yourself before expecting others to. Who gives a damn what the majority think. Besides if you can't see past your own perceived flaws, how do you expect others to do the same? This is a lesson I'm still learning in some respects.

  6. I knew the last one… Why would people be more accepting of something EVERYBODY IN THEIR COUNTRY'S DOING?!!! It's easy to create and watch anime all the time, and therefore more rough to get people of your own race to like your idea above everybody else's similar series, game ect. I assume this is why (some) Americans love anime more. It's based on what each individual loves too!!!

  7. The only one I previously believed was entry 2. Entry 1 is flawed. Maybe on a personal level anime fans are treated differently, but clearly the country understands that anime is one of its biggest cultural exports. So in certain ways, it has been embraced.
