  1. +Lady Gray Thanks for the great and most welcome video. I needed catching up on Vikings. Vikings along with with Outlander are what I watch in between seasons of Game of Thrones. As you point it out correctly, the city series may not follow history exactly. Michael Hirst, writer and an executive producer on both Vikings and The Tudors, wrote the screenplay for the feature film Elizabeth (1998). it doesn't bother me that he "colors outside the lines" on actual history in Vikings since what is know is incomplete and doesn't contain a great deal of information compared to what is known and well documented of the reigns of Henry VIII through Elizabeth I. Hirst was highly inaccurate it seems on purpose with the writing in both the Tudors and Elizabeth, and not even seeming to have the purpose of adding to drama. The sad thing is the real history is actually a lot more interesting than what he made up. What he makes up in Vikings is fine because in most cases we have absolutely no idea what the fine details are. but I consider his writing in The Tudors and Elizabeth as irresponsible, historically speaking.

  2. I can't waittttttttt for the premiere but the bishop Heahmund was canonized in actual history so it would be interesting to see how indepth the show will go. Lagertha is probably going to die & I hope we get to see young Alfred interact with a few of Ragnar's sons because I miss the Ragnar, Aethelstan, Ecbert bromance triangle and want them to revamp it with Alfred lol

  3. YEEES Please start doing Vikings videos i.e. recaps, while we all wait during the long night for season 8.
The character developments, the politics and storylines are all amazing and everything GOT was missing from season 7
Bad ass Earl Arya…. err I mean Lagatha is my favorite and Bjorn but I will miss Ragnar (RIP hope he is reunited with Athelstan hahaha)
Love this show and so happy you are doing videos for it Gray ❤️

  4. Love the video! Gimme more!l love Vikings too been watching. Thanks Gray! In history, Bjorn is Queen Aslaug’s second born son and yeah he conquers Italy and North Africa. Ivar is the first son and conquers parts of England. Please can you give us more background history about Ragnar and his sons and why Ivar is crippled. Ivar remains me of GOT Tyrion’s affinity for cripples, bastards and broken things! I think he has a greater purpose like Bran,Jonerys,Theon,Tyrion,Jamie …..etc in GOT

  5. Bjon is in that battle with the english i saw him and Ivar wins all but poor Hvitserk, King finehair wins all too, thats no spoiler its history just incase i get yelled at.

  6. I don't know why it bothers me so much that I can get right out of the shower and the Vikings characters still look cleaner and better groomed than me. I know that most historical shows depict the characters as less filthy than they really were but it shouldn't be so obvious that these people sit in hair and makeup for 2 hours before every scene. They are more like a mix between vikings and modern coffee chugging hipsters.

  7. I tried to not watch GoT for the longest time. I turned on an episode once. Dany and her brother were talking. They just looked weird?? I think it was season four that I caved and started to watch.
But I been with Vikings since the beginning!!!! Floki!!!!!!

  8. I've been impatiently waiting this season's premier of Vikings…predictions?? I will predict that because of the artistic license already taken for this series, Anything is Possible! I've read the sagas, they are absolutely incredible and if you've not read it yet, please do! It's sort of like reading A Song of Ice and Fire novels and then watching Game of Thrones… The show never ever meets the expectations of the book. They can't… In order for Vikings or Outlander or a Game of Thrones to follow the books correctly, the series would last 50 years!

  9. I think Lagertha will die (I don't want her to die!!!) by the hands of Ivar. I think he will gets his revenge, however I also believe Hvitserk will die during the civil war. Out of the brothers he is the only one with not much development. I can see him dying this season as well.
