Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently filming, and being the final and definitive one, is set to bring in a few new characters in. In a recent bit, we have information about a few new characters that will be joining the show next season. Read on!

The news comes from Game of Thrones fan site, Watchers on the Wall, and talks about new casting. First of all, Danielle Galligan has been cast as a character named Sarra, according to her resume. While that’s all we know for now, the best conclusion to draw seems to be that the character could be Sarra Frey, since that’s the only character in the books to have that name. There’s a good chance it’s just a random name, for an entirely different character, too.

Next up is actress Emer McDaid, who recently wrapped up filming for an unspecified role in Season 8, according to her Spotlight CV. Possibly a minor role since she’s wrapped up already.

Next up, is a conclusion drawn from an Instagram post by actress Alice Nokes. The post shows her posing with the other two new actors on the show mentioned above, Galligan and McDaid, with the caption that says “Aaaaaand that’s a wrap.” Seems like she’s going to show up in Season 8 as well. Last of all, Independent Agency, a casting agency based in Northern Ireland has a tiny detail on their website, which could he about Game of Thrones :

“Thomas Finnegan, Conor Maguire, Emer McDaid, Eileen McCloskey and Katie Tumelty join the cast of a major TV series.”

Now since McDaid’s name shows up in the list, we’re guessing the others will be seen on Game of Thrones, as well, not to forget that the agency has worked to cast for Game of Thrones before, although we don’t know which characters any of these actors will be playing.

So many new characters! It will be fun to see how every little piece fits into the giant puzzle in the end. What do you think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
