Rose McGowan reached a settlement with producer Harvey Weinstein in 1997 after accusing him of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room. McGowan’s decision to speak to the press this year helped expose Weinstein as a sexual harasser. ‘The number of people sharing their stories with me is so intense, especially since all of this is incredibly triggering for me as well. People forget that there’s a human behind this, someone who is very hurt. But that’s O.K. It fuels my fire. There really f-cked with the wrong person.’

Rose McGowan: ‘We’re Running Out Of Time. I Don’t Have Time To Play Nice’ | POY 2017 | TIME
Sinead O'Connor…?? Excuse me Rose McGowan….I don't believe anyone should be used or abused, or bullied. But, simmer down now…you are 44?? You can tell you do a lot of….pharmaceuticals. We should all stand up for ourselves and others, us regular people, or I will say the majority of us regular people stand up that way….but…we aren't famous. Your eyebrows are scary, really girl. And, trust me I know…I know. Please just look how she dressed on the MTV red carpet with Marilyn Manson, no it shouldn't be how you dress…but let's be honest, she wasn't dressed.
Rose Get out your chain saw , your correct !
Yes it must be triggering talking about sexual abuse when you've suffered it yourself. Which begs the question, why spend every waking hour tweeting about this serious issue & turning the subject into a one woman show? Nothing I've seen or read from this woman strikes me as constructive or sincere, rather she comes across as professional victim & fetishiser of abuse. The abused don't need a spokesperson, they need people in general to recognise the commonplace-ness of abuse & its far reaching effects, this doesn't happen when ranting minor 'celebs' appoint themselves victim-in-chief.
In short it's not all about you, honey.
For years in Hollywood, Rose had no problem exploiting her sexuality for fame, showing up for awards ceremonies wearing next to nothing, going on Howard Stern's show and letting him ogle her breasts, posing for men's magazines…now suddenly she's gone full-on shaved head, men's clothes wearing, raised fist public speech giving feminist cliche. What a joke.
