The nominations for the 44th annual Saturn Awards have been announced, and Game of Thrones is once again poised to bring home some hardware. Held each year in Burbank, California by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, the Saturn Awards honor the best in genre film and TV.
Since 2012, Game of Thrones has been nominated for 25 Saturn Awards, but oddly enough, it’s only ever won twice, and both times in 2015 for season 4: Maisie Williams won Best Performance by a Younger Actor on Television and Thrones as a whole won Best Limited Run Television Series.
This year, Game of Thrones and its cast have been nominated for four awards in three different categories, the first being for Best Fantasy Television Series. The show will face some stiff competition from the likes of American Gods, The Good Place, Knightfall, The Librarians, The Magicians, and Outlander.

- Adrianne Palicki (Commander Kelly Grayson, The Orville)
- Sarah Paulson (Ally Mayfair-Richards and Susan Atkins, American Horror Story: Cult)
- Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Nikki Swango, Fargo)
Finally, two male cast member will go head to head in the category of Best Supporting Actor on a Television Series:
- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister, Game of Thrones)
- Kit Harington (Jon Snow, Game of Thrones)
- Miguel Ferrer (Albert Rosenfield, Twin Peaks: The Return)
- Doug Jones (Commander Saru, Star Trek: Discovery)
- Christian Kane (Jacob Stone, The Librarians)
- Michael McKean (Chuck McGill, Better Call Saul)
- Khary Payton (King Ezekiel, The Walking Dead)
- Evan Peters (Kai Anderson, Andy Warhol, Marshall Applewhite, David Koresh, Jim Jones, Jesus, and Charles Manson, American Horror Story: Cult)
