Game of Thrones has captured the hearts and minds of audiences across the globe, pulling in record numbers of viewers to become the phenomenon it is today.
And while we know there are people who just don’t care about peace in The Seven Kingdoms, Dragons, or White Walkers we’re still pretty shocked that one of the show’s cast has admitted he’ll never be a fan of George R.R. Martin’s creation.
Having undoubtedly been seriously lucky to be cast in the HBO epic as one of Walter Frey’s clan, Gary Wales has revealed he’s ‘never been a fan of it’.
Speaking about his brief time on the show, the actor and model admitted: ‘I’ve never had an interest in Vikings or old era… fighting with swords and stuff. I’ve never had an interest.’
In fact, he even admitted he’d never seen an episode before he stepped onto the set during a chat with the Express, adding: ‘I’ve never been a fan of it, and I probably will not [be]. I like drama, true events, like a thriller.’
Well, all we’ll say is that it’s a good job Arya cleaned house at Twins when she did!
But it’s not like he’s sat around waiting for HBO to pick up the phone and ask him back as White, as he’s pushing on into modelling.
On top of a booking for London Fashion Week later this year the 22-year-old is also set to star in Vikander, a horror series which he is also co-writing and producing.
He’ll play serial killer Patrick Vikander, who is wanted by detectives investigating the grisly death of a teenager.
Meanwhile his former co-stars are gearing up for the eighth and final series to close the curtain on eight years of TV history.
While no date has been confirmed for a premiere, a Spring air date has been rumoured.
