Every year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City puts on a gala to raise money for its Costume Institute. And every year, most people kind of forget about all that and just focus on what the guests are wearing. This year is no exception.
The theme of last night’s event was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and The Catholic Imagination,” which is…a bold choice. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) showed up in a gown inspired by a statue of the Virgin Mary in Sicily. Here she is getting ready…

I’m no fashion expert, but she looks, um, what’s the phrase…regal as f**k, with the train and the embroidery and the jeweled band in her hair.
Naturally, at least one outlet tried to get Clarke to talk about Game of Thrones season 8, but she was having none of it:

In other celebrity news, Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) has produced a short film called “Run,” which looks like a sci-fi curiosity about a father desperately trying to secure synthetic drugs to help his son fight a disease. Watch the trailer below:
In addition to Emmanuel herself, the film also stars Game of Thrones alumnus Jonathan Pryce (the High Sparrow). May be worth checking out.
