Game of Thrones author George RR Martin’s latest book, Fire and Blood, is just weeks away from hitting shelves and now a German publisher has released a preview.
The two-part history of House Targaryen is set 300 years before the HBO series and follows the beginnings of The Iron Throne, built by King Aeon Taragryen.
And the teaser includes Fire and Bloods chapter titles, which nifty fans on Reddit have translated into English, and a very exciting new picture of Daenerys’ ancestors ruling the Seven Kingdoms; all of which you can see below:

As for Game of Thrones, Daenerys has still got her sights set on reclaiming the Iron Throne with a little help from Jon Snow – although, it looks like the Mother of Dragons could be about to meet her brutal end in season eight.
However, we won’t know a thing until the series finally lands next year.
