If anyone can defeat The Night King, it’s Khal Drogo (Picture: HBO)

If you could bring back anyone from Game of Thrones, it would have to be Khal Drogo, right?

Well, there’s a chance, albeit very slim chance, that Jason Momoa could have secretly returned to filming season eight to bring down The Night King and The Army of the Dead, according to a theory that we’re more than happy to jump on board with.

With the White Walkers now equipped with their very own dragon, who managed to blow down The Wall in a matter of minutes during the season seven finale, how can the undead be stopped by the living? Maybe they can’t.

Redditor u/cadiacman has offered up his thoughts below:

‘All characters that have been burned to death/after death by fire will be reincarnated by R’hllor (god of fire/light/red god).

Imagine this reunion in season 8 (Picture: HBO)

‘You fight an army with an army, an army of burned dead people that you resurrect.’

Interesting…

In turn, ‘key individuals [such as] Khal Drogo, Loras Tyrell, Shireen Baratheon, Ned Stark’s father Richard,’ could return for one final blow out – and, fuelling the metaphorical flames here, Khal star Jason Momoa was actually pictured on the Game of Thrones set.

The theorist went on to explain how the Red Priests will be the ones to resurrect the fallen heroes from the past, and speculated that Westeros’ answer to Doctor Who, Bran Stark, could even travel back in time to convince the Mad King to casually kill a few thousand of his peeps to bump up numbers for the battle against The Night King.

It’s pretty wild, but we’re all for it, tbh.

Obviously, we’ll have no idea what will become of The Night King until season eight returns in 2019, but we do know that we are in for the greatest battle across television and film there has ever been, according to the totally unbiased cast and crew.

‘It makes the Battle of the Bastards look like a theme park,’ Peter Dinklage told Entertainment Weekly, with the scene taking an entire 55 days to film.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic in April 2019.
