The relationship between two of the most loyal subjects of Daenerys in Game of Thrones – Missandei and Grey Worm has been ever growing since the fourth season. It reached its peak when the two shared an intimate scene together in Season 7. And as Grey Worm’s actor Jacob Anderson teases there’s room for more in the upcoming season. Read On.
The Final Season is coming in April next year, but with only six episode left the prime focus will most certainly be the threat of White Walkers instead of a small romantic plot point. But as Jacob told the Metro, the relationship between the two will ‘factor’ in the season 8 events. According to him,
“We’ll just have to see…I think that that is quite a big part of that character’s story, his relationship with Missandei. So it’s fair to assume that’ll be a factor in the next season. But there’s a lot going on so…”
The actor clearly seems hesitant about slipping anything ahead of Season 8 yet the relationship between the two is a factor in the season which gives us some hopes. Moving forward, Jacob also talked about his final day on the sets of Game of Thrones which ended after a 10-month-long shoot. He revealed:
“It was heartbreaking. Obviously, I can’t say who I was with, but it was a really bittersweet thing. When you’re shooting for that long, I was ready to finish when we finished, but at the same time, I’m really going to miss everybody I’ve been working with. It was an emotional day. I cried. It’s been a big part of my life.
Everybody kind of got a send-off. It almost feels wrong to talk about it because it was all so personal for everybody. It was lovely. It was a really nice way to finish things the way that we did.”
Finally talking about how being a part of the show was a major push in his career, literally a ‘life changer’, Anderson said:
“It’s changed my life in ways I never expected,’ Jacob added. ‘It’s a big show and it’s been a really huge part of my year, every year, going back it feels like school. I’ve learnt so much and I’ve made so many friends and I’ll be grateful for it for the rest of my life.”
Game of Thrones returns the next year and we hope Grey Worm definitely gets to survive the events of the Great War but with the promised ‘bittersweet’ ending nothing is certain!
