The first (and only?) official trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones came out a few weeks back. This isn’t quite as gob-smacking, but HBO did just air a new promo for season 8. There’s no official version yet, but as always, the internet — in this case taking the form of Twitter’s own Joe Weaver — provides:
A bunch of this footage we’ve already seen, but there’s some new stuff in there, including Tyrion speaking in Winterfell’s great hall, Dany standing in front of a fireplace with her back turned to Jon, Beric Dondarrion lighting his sword (presumably during the barn-burning Battle of Winterfell), the Unsullied raising their shields, Cersei turning around dramatically, Varys looking up at something with mouth agape (ice dragon?), and Arya mixing it up on the battlefield. Did I miss anything?
As soon as we can find a clean version we’ll plug it in there. Until then, discuss amongst yourselves! It’s all happening.
