An Irish wax museum has added to its collection of celebrities and TV characters by unveiling its newest work of art, Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys Targaryen.

Game of Thrones obviously is huge in Ireland and it’s filmed in Ireland and we thought the best thing is to add a woman from Game of Thrones to the museum.

“She stands in our grand hall of fame now,” Laoise Keaveney, from the National Wax Museum Plus told Irish radio station FM104.

But fans of the hit show were quick to point out the lack of resemblance to the show front runner, played by actress Emilia Clarke, calling it an “epic fail”.

“This is a joke yeah?,” one person commented on the announcement post on Instagram.

“Looks more like Jon Snow,” another said.

Some even thought it looked like a character from a different franchise – The Lord of the Rings.

“It looks like Legolas. You should make a new one, a better one,” one person wrote.

Fans of the show even criticised the time of the unveiling saying, “the show isn’t over yet, the last one who sits on the throne should be the one who’s waxed”.

The museum teased the mysterious new figure before unveiling it by posting to Instagram that they “have been bursting with anticipation over this”.
