At past awards shows, Drake has typically thanked the fans, God and his mum – but tonight he had all the love for Game of Thrones character Arya Stark.
The God’s Plan rapper gave our girl Arya (Maisie Williams) a huge shout out at the Billboard Music Awards 2019 on Wednesday evening while accepting his award for top 200 album with Scorpion.
And because Drake, 32, is clearly still reeling from that epic showdown in The Long Night episode earlier this week, he couldn’t help but give the little warrior a special mention.
With his BBMA in-hand, Drake said before leaving the stage: ‘Hey, shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week. Hey!’
Drake, it was the right thing to do.

Of course, Drizzy was referencing Arya’s defining moment when she flew into scene out of nowhere and plunged her dagger of Valyrian steel into the Night King’s body, single-handedly ending the war between the living and the undead.
So yes, Arya 100 percent deserved Drake’s dedication.
Earlier in his speech, the In My Feelings rapper thanked some other people who aren’t fictional characters.
He said: ‘Thank you to everybody who gave me their time, their energy, stayed away from their family and friends while we were trying to complete this. I always had a dream of doing a double album and I finally did it so now I’ll never do it again.’
Living up to his Instagram handle, the rapper added: ‘I need a glass of champagne.’
Guess he isn’t Champagne Papi for nothing.
It might not be Drake’s only appearance on-stage as he’s nominated for a total of 17 awards at this year’s BBMAs – maybe in his next acceptance speech he’ll thank Lyanna Mormont, another female warrior of The Long Night who went out a total hero.
