Warning: This article does not contain spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8, episodes 5 and 6. If that is what you’re here for, you will be bitterly disappointed.
After eight seasons and the best part of a decade, a cruel Game of Thrones fan claims to have revealed everyone who dies in the final two episodes as Cersei Lannister (played by Lean Headey) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) go to war.
As it stands, we’re yet to lose one of the major players Game of Thrones’ final chapter but according to Redditor cgmcnama – who was completely accurate with their summary of episode four, predicting the death of Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) – we’re in for a tough blow.
Like you, Metro.co.uk do not want anything spoiled moving and won’t be outlining any of the major plotlines, but the thread is available to read here where fans who have been through the post are royally kicking off.
The thread spells the future of the crucial heroes and villains of season eight and teases how long-standing conflicts will end ahead of the finale. However, with an abundance of conflicting leaks swimming through the World Wide Web, nothing should be taken as confirmation.
Basically, just stay away from Reddit and Sophie Turner’s Instagram if you want to avoid spoilers over the next two weeks.
After HBO took extreme measures to avoid any leaks for season eight, hours before the premiere, titled Winterfell, was finally broadcast, DirecTV accidentally dropped the episode early.
The Amazon Prime prematurely released episodes two and four, which we’d image HBO were chuffed about.
Emilia Clarke previously told the Hollywood Reporter that multiple endings would be filmed to throw fans off the scent. ‘I think they’re filming a bunch of stuff and they’re not telling us,’ she said.
‘There’s lots of different endings that could happen; I think we’re doing all of them and we aren’t being told which is actually what’s going to happen.’
So if you’ve come across any leaks, they could well be a red herring.
And besides, after that coffee cup fiasco who knows what’s real anymore?
Game of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO in the US and will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic here in the UK. Seasons one to seven are currently available to stream on NOW TV.
