GAME Of Thrones star Sophie Turner has confessed that the imminent finale will upset some fans of the fantasy drama – but the ending is “very satisfying” for her character Sansa Stark.
The 23-year-old actress also confessed that playing the flame-haired Lady of Winterfell for the past decade has given her an “identity crisis” as she struggled to work out who she is away from her Westeros alter ego.

Speaking to The Sunday Times Magazine, Sophie admitted that she feels “relief” that the show is finally coming to an end, with the epic conclusion set to air in the early hours tomorrow morning.
Discussing how the series has affected her personally, the star continued: “I’ve had a bit of an identity crisis to be honest, I’ve grown up for so many years as this character
“If I wasn’t filming, I was promoting it, if I wasn’t promoting it then it was on TV.
“I was immersed in Sansa, so finally stepping out of it, I don’t actually know what I like to do or who I really am.”

Sophie previously opened up about the impact shooting to fame at the age of 13 had on her mental health, speaking candidly about her depression and body image battle in the past.
Going on to discuss the upcoming finale, the beauty teased fans as she explained: “It’s a great ending, from my perspective, it’s very satisfying.”
She went on to add: “But I think a lot of people will be upset too.”
The comment comes after almost one million outraged viewers signed a petition to demand showrunners remake season eight after being left disappointed with this week’s episode of the show.

Fans were unimpressed by the penultimate episode, which saw years of foreshadowing come to a head as Daenerys Targaryen became the ‘Mad Queen’ and murdered thousands of innocent people.
Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Sophie’s onscreen brother Bran Stark, slammed the “absurd” backlash earlier this week, fuming: “It’s ridiculous that people think they can just demand a different ending because they don’t like it. I have stupidly taken it quite personally, which obviously I shouldn’t.”
The star went on to reveal that he was a huge fan of the series’ conclusion – and that Daenerys’ downfall had been well-documented in earlier seasons.
He continued to The Hollywood Reporter: “In my opinion, it’s a great ending.

“People have complained there wasn’t enough foreshadowing but time upon time, she’s demonstrated a capacity to be quite brutal.
“I don’t think it’s some plot twist to be shocking for the sake of shocking. I think it’s a genuine character development.”
Isaac’s comments come after Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm, also shared his view on the petition – dubbing the criticism “insulting” to the hardworking cast and crew.
Although thousands of fans have been vocal in their disappointment in the final series, many others have heaped praise on the show’s latest episodes.
Game of Thrones has always been hugely divisive with its unprecedented plot twists and treatment of fan-favourite characters, with the first major shock occurring in the ninth ever episode when much-loved protagonist Ned Stark was mercilessly beheaded.
Since then, showrunners have proved time and again that anything is possible in Westeros, with episodes such as The Red Wedding and The Battle of the Bastards also dividing viewers.
The entire show will reach its epic conclusion in mere hours, and with everything to play for it is no doubt set to be both loved and loathed in equal measures by its millions of viewers across the globe.
Game of Thrones’ finale will premiere on Sky Atlantic and Now TV at 2am on Monday 20th May to match the US air time.
It will be available to stream all day and will be broadcast again at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
