The San Diego Comic-Con is always a big event! HBO will be represented there this year July 18 – 20. Below, via an HBO press release comes brief details of the shows it wants to get in front of the eyes of the fans.
The HBO series HIS DARK MATERIALS, GAME OF THRONES and WESTWORLD are confirmed for panels and autograph signing sessions at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2019.
Thursday, July 18 – The HIS DARK MATERIALS panel in Hall H at 4:45pm will include (in alphabetical order): James McAvoy (Lord Asriel), Dafne Keen (Lyra), Lin Manuel Miranda (Lee Scoresby), Jane Tranter (executive producer) and Ruth Wilson (Mrs. Coulter). Autograph signing is at 2:45pm.
HBO wants to stir up excitement for this fantasy epic based on the acclaimed Philip Pullman novels. Some major players in the cast will chat it up at the panel to set up the adventure of Lyra as she flits from our world to the next to save kidnapped children.
Friday, July 19 – The GAME OF THRONES panel in Hall H at 5:30pm. will include cast members (in alphabetical order): Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei of Naath), Iain Glen (Ser Jorah Mormont), Conleth Hill (Varys), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark). Other panelists include creators and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and director and executive producer Miguel Sapochnik. Autograph signing is at 3:30pm.
Consider it an attempt to not let the show die as some of the cast take their victory lap.
Saturday, July 20 – The WESTWORLD panel in Hall H at 1:15pm will include creators, executive producers and directors Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and cast members (in alphabetical order): Ed Harris (Man In Black), Thandie Newton (Maeve Millay), Aaron Paul (a new undisclosed character as of yet), Tessa Thompson (Charlotte Hale), Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy) and Jeffrey Wright (Bernard Lowe). Autograph signing is at 11:45am.
We eagerly await what will happen when Season 3 hits in 2020.
