Game of Thrones is a giant franchise, so much so that the end of the television show is only the beginning for it. With spinoffs under development, the stars of Thrones are moving towards other big projects, the best example being Kit Harington, who is all set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Speaking at ACE Comic Con recently, he expressed his feelings about this next step. Read on!

We had recently reported that Kit Harington, who played Jon Snow on Game of Thrones has been cast as Dane Whitman, a.k.a. Black Knight, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming film, The Eternals. He joined a star studded cast that includes his former onscreen brother, Richard Madden, who played the role of Robb Stark on Thrones. Kit discussed what he felt like to be taking on this journey:

“A lot of people who go into the MCU, they haven’t had experience of, maybe, a franchise that big.

I’ve lived with Thrones for 10 years, I’ve known a big franchise and something that’s created a world and it has a huge fan base. So for both reasons, I’m excited and terrified.

He also talked about how he was trying to avoid fantasy roles after Game of Thrones but ended up with Black Knight:

“I’m going on to play a superhero, which is cool. I don’t know what I can say about it, I’m scared to sort of even mention it.

I’m trying to choose things as far away from Jon Snow as possible, but I’m playing a superhero and he’s got a sword.”

He continued:

“It’s a whole new chapter and a whole new character to start thinking about. Without saying too much at all, on the surface, [Black Knight] can look like Jon Snow in the comics but there is actually a lot to be done that is different.”

Well, as much as that is true, we are still very excited to see how Kit does in this new role. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
