Australia’s most popular airline Qantas has released the names of the most watched movies, box sets and comedies on its inflight entertainment system ahead of the new year.
Superheroes, romance and biopics topped the list of blockbusters that delighted passengers flying domestically and internationally in 2019.
While A Star is Born was the most watched movie overall, coming in second was Avengers: Endgame, which received more views in its debut month alone than the next three most watched movies combined.

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Captain Marvel and Mary Queen of Scots rounded out the top five proving that there was plenty of interest in a broad range of genres and characters.
When it comes to binge-worthy TV series, Game of Thrones took the crown with every episode of every season now available onboard as a box set collection.
This is despite only becoming available to watch halfway through the year.

Of the hilarious comedies available to watch on your screen Modern Family come out on top, followed by Young Sheldon, Family Guy and The Big Bang Theory.

But not surprisingly the three seats that consumed the least amount of inflight entertainment all had bassinets in front of them.
‘Qantas’ inflight entertainment is a defining feature of the onboard experience and gives customers the ability to relax and catch up on their favourite series or latest releases,’ Qantas Group Chief Customer Officer Stephanie Tully said.
‘We know the big blockbusters are always really popular, but so are our peaceful music soundtracks to sit back and unwind to.’
