Game of Thrones star John Bradley has completely transformed into the comedian Les Dawson for Sky’s new drama Urban Myths: Les Dawson’s Parisienne Adventure.
In an exclusive look issued to Metro.co.uk, the much-loved actor is as far away from Sam Tarly as he could possibly get.
The short clip shows the comedian chatting to Djinda Kane’s Emerald (an affair he wrote about in his diaries when going on a 10 day trip to Paris in 1953).
In an attempt to make her laugh, he tells the story of a family who is struggling to put out a candle – and for each of the characters, the star pulls a different face.
‘The vicar is downstairs,’ Les explains with a downward smile for the ‘father’ role. ‘Let’s shout him!’
Introducing the new character, he grimaces: ‘Allow me’.
He then licks his two fingers and reaches for the candle in front of him before putting out the flame.
Alongside, John Bradley and Djinda Kane the episode will feature both Pam Ferris and Mark Addy as it looks back at Les Dawson’s adventures in Paris.
Inspired by the likes of Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus, Les left his home in Manchester with the hope of exploring Europe and becoming a successful novellist.
However, things didn’t go quite as planned on the trip – as he ended up becoming a pianist in a brothel.
The series will cover a whole host of stories, with next week’s instalment taking a deep dive into the relationship between Joan Rivers (Katherine Ryan) and Barbra Streisand Jessica Barden).
The last two episodes of the acclaimed series will cover Jimi Hendrix (Zach Wyatt) and George Frideric Handel (David Haig) as they make waves in the music industry.
The season wrapping up with an episode dedicated to Orson Welles (Robbie Coltrane OBE) and his now-iconic documentary, F for Fake.
It’s not to be missed.
Urban Myths: Les Dawson’s Parisienne adventure will air Wednesday on Sky Arts at 10pm, now available for everyone to watch on Freeview Channel 11.
