Game of Thrones ended more than a year ago. Fans of the successful fantasy series miss the show dearly. Many of the show’s stars have moved on to different projects. Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) is raising her kill-count in the thriller series Two Weeks to Live. Similarly, Kit Harington is playing a convicted role in Netflix’s psychological drama Criminals season 2. Now Stephen Dillane, who played Stannis Baratheon, will be back on-screen with season 2 of Alex Rider.

Game of Thrones’ Stephen Dillane (Stannis Baratheon) starrer Alex Rider renewed for season 2

Alex Rider is jointly produced by Sony Pictures Television and Eleventh Hour Films. It is the first original series produced by IMDb — a free streaming service recently acquired by Amazon Studios. It is based on the popular book series of the same name, written by Anthony Horowitz. The series follows a teenage boy who finds himself being recruited by M16 to become a spy.

The series stars Otto Farrant in the titular role. Also starring Stephen Dillane, Vicky McClure, and Andrew Buchan, among others. Dillane plays Alan Blunt, the head of the M16 agency. (Of course, playing the head of such a big organization suits him well!)
