Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon recently finished its Season 1 quite successfully. According to HBO chief Casey Bloys so far it is the only Game of Thrones spinoff that has been greenlit officially. However, he didn’t deny the fact that there were other projects at work, stemming from the GOTverse or the Martinverse, whichever way you prefer to call it. HBO has already renewed House of The Dragon for a second season, and people are already speculating who will be joining the cast in season 2. Two of the biggest names that come forward are MCU star Elizabeth Olsen and The Witcher/DCEU star Henry Cavill.

Even though these are just rumors, a lot of House of The Dragon/Game of Thrones fans are wishing that Cavill joins the Game of Thrones universe, either in House of The Dragon or any other spinoff. Cavill recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and addressed the issue.
He said, “To be fair, when I was watching House of the Dragon, I was like ‘I feel like a lot of these guys could make really good Witchers.” I think it would be cool to be in Westeros, I really do. I don’t think there’s a place for me in there, though.”
It’s sad that Cavill won’t be joining the Game of Thrones universe anytime soon, he recently left The Witcher to begin a new journey. Let us see where his path leads him.
