Game of Thrones has some of the best television soundtracks ever thanks to the creative work of music composer Ramin Djawadi. Just the teaser trailer for the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon‘s amazing compositions reminded fans why they adore his work so much. The legendary musician will receive the coveted BMI Icon Award.
Ramin Djawadi wins the BMI Icon Award
Ramin Djawadi is a famous name in the television and film circuit. He is behind the iconic scores of a number of famous projects such as Westworld, 3 Body Problem, Fallout, Iron Man and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. At the 40th Annual BMI Film, TV, and Visual Media Awards, which are presented by BMI executives Mike O’Neill and Tracy McKnight, Djawadi will receive the prestigious BMI Icon Award.
BMI honors composers of the top-grossing films and TV shows every year
The top-grossing TV series and movies of the previous year’s soundtracks will also have their composers honored by the performance rights agency BMI. Acknowledging Djawadi’s accomplishments, McKnight said:
“We’re excited to honor Ramin Djawadi and celebrate his outstanding musical achievements. Ramin’s innovative compositions for films, TV shows, and video games have captivated audiences worldwide, exemplifying his remarkable range and talent.
