Fans of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms can now own Dan Romer’s acclaimed Season 1 score in physical formats. Mutant, in partnership with WaterTower Music and HBO, has announced both CD and vinyl editions of the soundtrack, available for preorder now. The release is scheduled for November 2026, giving collectors a chance to add this Emmy‑nominated score to their shelves.

About the score

Romer’s music for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes a different approach than the sweeping orchestration of Game of Thrones. Drawing on spaghetti western influences and medieval folk traditions, the score uses plucked strings, fiddles, and whistling to create a sparse but evocative soundscape. At a key moment, Romer integrates Ramin Djawadi’s iconic Thrones theme, tying the new series to its predecessor while establishing its own identity.

The CD edition comes in a digipak wrapped in a printed interactive PET sleeve, with a booklet featuring eight character portraits illustrated by Greg Ruth. The vinyl edition follows similar premium packaging standards, with factory tolerances noted for collectors.
