Production on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2 is still underway, but new set photos from Gran Canaria are already giving fans a better look at what’s coming next. According to exclusive reporting from Los Siete Reinos, the latest images reveal a redesigned shield for Ser Duncan the Tall and a first glimpse at the castle of Lady Rohanne Webber, one of the most important locations in The Sworn Sword.

Dunk has a new shield after season 1’s events
The most eye-catching image from the report showcases Peter Claffey’s Dunk carrying a new shield. According to Los Siete Reinos, Dunk’s original shield featuring the elm tree and falling star was damaged during the Trial of Seven, leading to its replacement in season 2.
The outlet notes that Dunk and Egg end season 1 intending to travel to Dorne so that Tanselle can create another shield. The new design reportedly features a white tree and has drawn comparisons to the White Tree of Gondor from The Lord of the Rings.

The photos, taken by photographer Piotr Drezinski and shared with Los Siete Reinos, offer fans one of the clearest looks yet at Dunk’s evolving appearance for the next chapter of the story.

Lady Rohanne Webber’s castle and Dorne locations revealed
The report also identifies one of the show’s largest season 2 sets.
Los Siete Reinos says a castle set built at La Fortaleza near Santa María de Tirajana was used to portray Coldmoat (Fosafría in Spanish), the seat of the Red Widow, Lady Rohanne Webber. The physical structure was combined with a massive blue screen so the remainder of the castle could be added digitally in post-production.

The outlet further reports that several Dornish scenes were filmed across Gran Canaria. One location was the Dominican Convent in Teror, while another was Fataga, which reportedly stood in for a bustling Dornish marketplace.
According to the report, the market sequence involved more than 150 extras and featured a conversation between Dunk and Egg. Los Siete Reinos also mentions a bird-themed dancer and a merchant attempting to sell enormous watermelons to the pair, hinting at some colorful moments during their time in Dorne.
If the leaked photos are any indication, season 2 is staying faithful to The Sworn Sword while significantly expanding the world around Dunk and Egg as their journey continues beyond the events of the first season.
