Most streaming hits enjoy a few weeks in the spotlight before fading from the charts. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms seems determined to do the opposite.
Nearly ten months after its January 2026 debut, the HBO fantasy series continues to appear in streaming rankings across multiple countries. According to data from FlixPatrol, Dunk and Egg’s journey remains one of HBO Max’s strongest performers of the year, proving that the smallest Westeros story may also be one of the franchise’s most enduring successes.
Quick read:
- The series debuted in January 2026.
- It still appears in international top 10s.
- FlixPatrol ranks it among HBO Max’s biggest titles.
Dunk and Egg are showing unusual staying power
According to FlixPatrol data, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms continues to chart on HBO Max in several markets months after its release. As recently as October 2026, the series was still appearing in HBO Max Top 10 rankings, including Germany, where it reached No. 5 on the platform’s chart.
Current FlixPatrol rankings show the series continuing to place in HBO Max Top 10 lists in countries including Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
That’s a notable achievement considering the show completed its six-episode run back in February 2026. Unlike many streaming releases that quickly disappear after airing, Dunk and Egg have continued attracting viewers long after the finale.

FlixPatrol data highlights the show’s global appeal
FlixPatrol currently lists A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms among HBO Max’s major titles of 2026 and tracks ongoing Top 10 appearances across multiple territories.
The show’s recent HBO Max rankings included:
- Germany: Top 10 appearances, reaching No. 5 on recent charts.
- France: Continued HBO Max Top 10 placements.
- United Kingdom: Ongoing Top 10 appearances.
The continued success reinforces what many fans have been saying since premiere day: viewers embraced the series’ smaller scale and character-driven storytelling.
While Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon often center on wars, succession crises, and dragons, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms focuses on the friendship between Peter Claffey’s Ser Duncan the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell’s Egg. That simpler formula appears to have given the series strong rewatch value.
With season 2 already on the way, HBO has to be pleased that viewers are still discovering and revisiting Dunk and Egg’s first adventure nearly a year after it arrived.
