Emilia Clarke plays Mallory in Prime Video’s crime epic
Based on the award-winning Criminal comics, the series follows multiple generations of criminals whose lives are connected by old crimes, family secrets, and violence.
The show is headlined by Charlie Hunnam as Leo Patterson, a criminal trying to escape the life he was born into, and Adria Arjona as Greta, a car thief from his past.
Clarke plays Mallory, the girlfriend of Ricky Lawless, a troubled criminal portrayed by Gus Halper.

According to the official character description, Mallory is a woman“who fears what he’ll do to get by.”
The teaser suggests her role will be closely tied to the emotional fallout of Ricky’s increasingly dangerous choices as decades-old secrets begin resurfacing.
Criminal has a massive cast and a unique release plan
Prime Video has confirmed that Criminal will be released in two separate four-episode chapters.
- Criminal: Part One – Coward premieres on January 13, 2027.
- Criminal: Part Two – Lawless premieres on January 27, 2027.
The series also stars:
- Luke Evans as Tracy Lawless
- Richard Jenkins
- Kadeem Hardison
- John Hawkes
- Logan Browning
- Michael Mando
- Garrett Hedlund
- Patrick J. Adams
The two-part structure mirrors the original comic storylines Coward and Lawless, which were among the most acclaimed arcs in Brubaker and Phillips’ long-running crime series.
Prime Video describes the story as an interconnected universe of crime tales involving thieves, killers, corrupt cops, broken families, and criminals haunted by choices made decades earlier.
For Clarke, Criminal marks one of her highest-profile television roles since Game of Thrones, and it reunites her with fellow fantasy star Luke Evans in a gritty world that couldn’t be more different from Westeros.
