When you think of Game of Thrones, you most likely thing of Winter, Jon Snow, Daenerys, deaths and betrayals. There have been so many deaths and betrayals on this show, we have almost lost track. Almost. We have compiled a list of betrayals that have shocked us to our core. We still haven’t recovered from the epic betrayal that stemmed from Little Finger and Ned Stark. Petyr Baelish got Ned locked up and later beheaded by Joffrey. Which was another betrayal as Joffrey promised to let Ned go live his days off at the Wall if he confessed to his crimes (which he didn’t commit) and called Joffrey king. But King Joff decided to make an example out of him and end his life.
One of the most shocking betrayals was that of Walder Frey and the Starks at Edmure Tully’s wedding, resulting in the famous Red Wedding episode. Stannis Baratheon’s betrayal on his daughter also resulting in a shocking scene in which Shireen was burned as a sacrifice to the Lord of Light. Tyrion also faced several betrayals while he was on trial because he was accused of poisoning Joffrey. But the worst one was his former lover, Shae, who not only testified against him but betrayed Tyrion even further by getting involved with Tywin.
