In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ira Parker explained: “Season 2 is expected to debut in the first half of 2027, yeah, absolutely.” He emphasized that the series is designed to follow an annual release cycle, unlike House of the Dragon, which has longer gaps between seasons.

This reassurance came after speculation about delays, as filming faced interruptions due to flooding in Gran Canaria. Parker confirmed that production was nearly complete and the release window remained unchanged.

What Season 2 will cover

Season 2 will adapt The Sworn Sword, the second novella in George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg. The story follows Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall and Egg as they serve Ser Eustace Osgrey during a drought in the Reach.
