April Fool’s Day was yesterday, but the laughter continues.
A couple of websites pulled jokes based on Game of Thrones (George R.R. Martin Announces Game of Thrones Children’s Books), but for my money, easily the best was YouTuber Alt Shift X’s read on all the footage leaking from behind the scenes of season 8. This video uncovers some surprising things about season 8, so proceed with caution.
So what did we learn about what’s coming? Much to HBO’s chagrin, quite a lot:
- Arya Stark dashes out Cersei’s eye, but it just drives the queen to more violence.
- As was long expected, Sansa is Azor Ahai.
- Daenerys packs heat.
- Jaime gets tatted the hell up.
- Not only are Ellaria Sand and Karl Tanner alive, but they join forces to run a tech startup.
- At long last, we will finally see Tywin Lannister dance.
All that and Alt Shift X got in a plug for Dashlane, too. This was an extremely informative video all around.
But seriously, folks, Alt Shift X is one of the steadiest Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire theories out there, and has plenty of excellent — and sincere — videos to his name. Kudos to him for putting so much work into this.
