Song: Blue Monday (from “Atomic Blonde”) by HEALTH

Oscar® winner Charlize Theron explodes into summer in Atomic Blonde, a breakneck action-thriller that follows MI6’s most lethal assassin through a ticking time bomb of a city simmering with revolution and double-crossing hives of traitors.

The crown jewel of Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton (Theron) is equal parts spycraft, sensuality and savagery, willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission. Sent alone into Berlin to deliver a priceless dossier out of the destabilized city, she partners with embedded station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) to navigate her way through the deadliest game of spies.

A blistering blend of sleek action, gritty sexuality and dazzling style, Atomic Blonde is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, upcoming Deadpool 2). Also starring John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones, the film is based on the Oni Press graphic novel series“The Coldest City,” by Antony Johnston & illustrator Sam Hart. Kurt Johnstad (300) wrote the screenplay.

  1. People are asking for a John Wick / Atomic Blonde crossover. After watching this trailer, I actually thought of Hardcore Henry. His universe is a little different, but I feel like he could still fit.

  2. That opening scene got me believing she was doing all of this in high heels. Upon closer inspection i could determine that she was using boots during that scene. I´m immediately ok with this. Also, mofo got shot and kept fighting like it was nothing, god damn!

  3. I knew this movie would tank in box office because almost no one wants to see an old woman doing an action like John Wick. Pipe down if you're gon lecture me on feminism.
Yes, its' going to change but not yet. They should've opted for a younger and fresher, pretty actress who can do stunts like Gal Gadot. I haven't seen WW but everybody praises Gadot and I believe she is one of the main reasons that electrified the franchise. Atomic Blonde sure could use that kind of talent, not her.

  4. Silly Hollywood, Women aren't as strong as men, and aren't capable of subduing two trained assassins in a stairwell. This is more Fembot propaganda, which means I won't be seeing this movie in the theaters. If you would of had a more realistic portrayal of a woman agent, who doesn't do cage fighting and bareknuckle boxing against multiple men and winning, then maybe I would of payed to see it. Enough of your stupid idiotic NWO bullshit. Women agents shoot, seduce, blend in to be unnoticed, but you couldn't help yourself, cause women kick ass right? No, they don't, and can't, and if they try it against men they can get hurt badly, bad role your setting.

  5. Everything else was so perfect, the cinematography, the fight scenes…and yes…the sex…but honestly I couldn't fully pick up on the story. Especially around the end.

  6. can someone please stop these fucking retarded sexist faggots to make sexist comments about this movie?if you dont like it,what the hell you re doing here?this is not a chat….if you dont like the movie than go to gay sexist chat and spill there your hatred…..bunch of not assumed gay retards

  7. TLDR: Watch Salt instead.

The question that makes you a sexist for asking: What's the point of working out if being a 130 pound stick girl (If you drink enough vodka and smoke enough.) gives you as much power, endurance, and speed as a 250 pound Olympic boxer? (Or a room full of them with guns for that matter…)

This waif-fu politically correct mass delusion is probably already getting people killed by convincing them they can win fist fights they should run from.

Sidenote: The movie is garbage. It's deeply insulting cold war fetishism, wrapped in a cigarette/booze commercial, with a side order of what an abused and neglected 8 year old thinks it means to be strong and cool.

P.S. The movie being garbage has zero to do with the lead being female, or even not liking the genre.

For this kind of movie done properly see Salt, 2010.

  8. What an amazing Action movie, the cast delivers great action and lines,(Theron Specially). The retro music and period settings are well done too. Contrasting her contemplating the death of her lover and her betrayal as Germany celebrates the fall of the Berlin Wall was classic as a scene. I loved the action, the fact that looks like shit after the Building and staircase fight is very real compared with all the fake recent CGI crap (Slow and Boring Series Anyone). If the ever do a cross over with John Wick or cast a female as James or in this case Jane Bond she should be considered for those roles.

  9. Wait, is this meant to be grounded in reality? I can understand the want for more female leads, but a woman's physically overcoming trained male agents is implausible and dilutes the realism.
