Parker’s fanboy moment

In a recent interview with IGN, Parker shared his long-standing admiration for Mullan, whose work has left a lasting impression on him since early roles.

“Mullan playing Eustace is just my favorite thing in the whole world because I remember when I saw him on Top of the Lake and just thought, ‘One day I’m going to figure out how to work with that actor.’ And so for this to happen is very nice.”

This personal excitement shows that Mullan fits the role of Ser Eustace Osgrey perfectly, atleast as the showrunner had imagined him to.

Who is Ser Eustace Osgrey?

He is a veteran of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, head of a faded house, and a proud, stubborn lord clinging to honour and legacy amid a bitter land dispute during a devastating drought in the Reach. Ser Eustace hires hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg, pulling them into a conflict with the formidable Lady Rohanne Webber (Lucy Boynton) and the rough Ser Bennis of the Brown Shield (Babou Ceesay).

Hence, Peter Mullan, known for his performances in projects like The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, etc, brings quite an experience to the table.

With production underway, anticipation is high for how this “favourite thing” will unfold on screen.
