Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon completed its first season last year, and we might have to wait for at least a year for the second season to arrive. The next big thing on HBO’s calendar is the TV adaptation of the popular game The Last of Us. Headed by two Game of Thrones alum as the leads, Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, it is one the most highly anticipated projects of 2023 and the premiere which aired on 15th Jan was a huge success. The two leads share a lot of past trauma, and Pedro and Bella recently talked about how they view these experiences.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Pedro explained, “I don’t know if Ellie is aware of it, I know that something he isn’t necessarily conscious of the primal aspect of him as a caretaker, whether he wants to be that or not. It’s his reluctance that kind of makes it so interesting and yet he can’t help but you know develop protective feelings for her. It’s the biggest threat actually to his survival.”

Bella replied, “I think she knows there’s something up with you, for sure. Like there’s some sort of history.”

Pedro joined in, “Yeah, like a shadow of loss, directly related to, maybe, you know, being a parent, because of Sarah, beautifully portrayed by Nico Parker.”
