The actor Norwegian Christopher Hivju, known for having played Tormund in the series “Game of Thrones”, he said in Instagram that has been recovered from the coronavirus.
“We are fully recovered and in good condition after I am infected by coronaviruses, and that’s probably also what made my wife Gry Molvær Hivju”, noted in his publication on the social network which was accompanied with a photograph next to his wife.
“After several weeks in quarantine, and also a couple of more weeks at home after being symptom-free, finally we are healthy and safe,” he added.
The performer revealed on 16 march that he had tested positive in the testing of the coronavirus.
“We were fortunate to have only mild symptoms of the COVID-19”, said after having overcome the disease.
“We send our love and our thoughts to all the people there where the virus has struck more strongly, and to all those who have lost their loved ones by the coronavirus. Thank you all for your support and, please, stay vigilant, respect the distance, wash your hands and, above all, care for each other in these strange times,” he added.
Although the character of Tormund was a secondary role within the complex narrative of the “Game of Thrones”, Hivju became one of the favorite actors of the fans of the series of epic fantasy HBO and made a memorable duo with Kit Harington (Jon Snow).
After the blockbuster that was adapted to the small screen, the novels of George R. R. Martin, the Norwegian has appeared in series such as “Twin” and “Beck”.
The positive for the coronavirus came to Hivju when he was shot the second season of “The Witcher” series of fantasy of Netflix, which he joined recently and whose first batch of episodes premiered in 2019 with Henry Cavill as the protagonist, giving life to Geralt of Rivia.
