Game Of Thrones bosses have been keeping extremely tight-lipped over the final season of the much loved fantasy.
And while it’s rumoured that HBO were shooting drones out of the sky in order to keep everything under wraps, it appears one actor might have just let slip a spoiler.
Toby Osmond, who is known for his role as Thomas Cromwell in Henry VIII and His Six Wives, has seemingly revealed that he will be appearing in the upcoming season of GOT.
Writing in his bio on his Spotlight CV, the star teased at an up coming role, and claimed to have finished filming for the final series of a fantasy saga.
He wrote: ‘Earlier this year completed filming a great royal role in the next (and final) series of an epic network fantasy saga (airing Spring 2019).’
Although he didn’t mention what the saga actually was, or who he worked with while on the show, an ‘epic fantasy saga’, released ‘Spring next year’, which has already wrapped up filming, to us, can only mean one programme: Game Of Thrones.
But who will Toby be playing?
If Frikidoctor’s leaked scene is anything to go by, then it’s possible that Osmond’s apparent appearance will take place at the ruins of Italica in Seville, Spain.
Frikidoctor claimed that two new characters would be introduced here, with one of them wearing gold.
This led the super fan to believe that Osmond would play a Dornishman of noble birth (to fit in with his ‘royal’ description).
And while fans are eagerly pulling apart every potential theory surrounding the final series, a handful of viewers have now turned their attention to the Game Of Thrones prequel.
That’s right. If you didn’t already know, there is going to be a Game Of Thrones two, that’s set thousands of years before the characters we know and love roamed Westeros.
Talking about the prequel, George R R Martin shared on his blog earlier this year: ‘Yes, this is a prequel, not a sequel.
‘This one really puts the PRE in prequel, since it is set not ninety years before Game of Thrones (like Dunk & Egg), or a few hundred years, but rather ten thousand years (well, assuming the oral histories of the First Men are accurate, but there are maesters at the Citadel who insist it has only been half that long).
‘We’re very early in the process, of course, with the pilot order just in, so we don’t have a director yet, or a cast, or a location, or even a title.’
