Dexter Sol Ansell (Egg) discussed Game of Thrones with Maisie Williams (Arya): “Oh, we want a dragon”

Dexter Sol Ansell, the young star of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, recently revealed a playful Thrones crossover moment with Maisie Williams. In The Hollywood Reporter interview, Ansell recalled chatting with Williams — best known as Arya Stark — while filming 500 Miles, where she plays a young Irish busker. A Thrones crossover moment

Ansell described the encounter: “We talked a bit [about the franchise]. And it was very fun to say, ‘Oh, we want a dragon.’ But we didn’t talk too much about that. It was mainly about 500 Miles.” The exchange highlights the surreal crossover of two actors from different corners of Westeros lore — Arya Stark from the original saga and Egg from the upcoming Dunk and Egg series.

Shooting for the stars

Beyond 500 Miles and Seven Kingdoms, Ansell expressed a desire to work with Steven Spielberg, having loved Disclosure Day. With Steve Carell and the cast of Stranger Things already ticked off his dream list, Ansell hopes to juggle Dunk and Egg with feature films: “What I’d love to do is five [seasons of Seven Kingdoms], and then in between each one, do a feature film.”
