In a series built around undead armies, flying dragons, and blood magic, the most unbelievable events might just be based on mundane travel. The size of Westeros and timeline of Game of Thrones have always been somewhat ambiguous and questionable, but season 7 has really shed a blaring spotlight on some possible timeline issues.

  1. Two things
    1. Jon and Daenerys are not cousins but nephew and aunt
    2. Don't blame for this teleportation shit Geroge, he hasn't been part of making the show since season 5 so all this teleportation shit, stupid storytelling and plot armor is work of fucking D&D
    Otherwise good video

  2. This was posted on my birthdayi love you matpatI'm friends with sooooo may matpat watchersi love game of thronesi love Jon Snowi love you matpat❤❤❤❤❤❤ also congrats on the subscriber counta league is 3 miles so you are correct on the measurements

  3. Sorry to break your Theory, but even if everything is twice as big as we think, it would not change anything.
Let's say every human, animal and plant is twice as large as it is in our world (like you proposed). That would not change anything about the measurements.
1 Ft is still 1 Ft, because historically 1 Ft literally was one footlenght. The only difference is, that the Ft measurement in GoT would be twice as large, meaning 2 Ft (our world) = 1 Ft. (GoT world). This again would result in no changes to the overall world. The walls of Winterfell would stil be 80 Ft tall and even the entire world would not change. 1 Mile (historically) = 5280 Ft, making the mile dependend on the Ft measurement, which in turn has theoretically not changed at all.
I hope you get my point.

  4. This theory is a little far fetched. It would make more sense if the earth itself that Westeros is on is larger than our own. Let's say it's exactly three times bigger. This would mean that the days are exactly three times longer, which would mean that Jaime would have just enough time. Westeros would be the same size and so would all the other land masses but the pure circumference and surface area of the planet would be larger. And yes I know that this means that the gravity would be three times as strong which would mean that humans would need to be three times as resilient, but it's more realistic than humans being twice the size compared to us.

  5. Or the world is bigger so it takes longer to do a spin so a day has a lot more hours.
this could explain why seasons take years.

But wait……if we calculate a year based on the full turn around the sun, passing every season, what do they base a year on?

  6. How about a day not being as short as it is on Earth, and now that Winter is here You can have Nights that last a generation. So need of fucking up these measurements. The planet is not Earth. Doesn't need to be 24 hours in a day.

  7. but it wouldnt work, the human body cant properly balence it's self for anyone taller than 7 feet… even tyrion would be experianceing severe issues with posture, stance, bloodflow, even the time it takes for his brain to send signals to his legs would have a noticable delay, and that's not even getting into what a "normal sized person" would have to experience in this universe.

  8. This brings up one of my biggest pet peeves about GRRM. He deliberately made all the landmasses unfeasibly large. I read somewhere that the continent of Westeros is supposed to be about the size of South America.
