Emilia Clarke has revealed to the world what she looks like before she puts her wig on to become her Game Of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen – and it’s pretty special.
With just a few days standing in the way of the season eight finale, Emilia took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes selfie of herself wearing a bald cap.
A world away from the long blonde locks that the Mother Of Dragon rocks, hey?
Captioning the photo, the 32-year-old actress wrote: ‘This is what it took not only to shoot ep5…but to watch it too! @gameofthrones @hbo #soshockingitblewmywigoff.’
The star grabbed onto a bottle of champagne and let rip a scream as she posed for the snap, which even managed to attract Lindsay Lohan’s attention.
Piping up to pay Emilia a compliment, the Mean Girls actress wrote: ‘You still look gorgeous.’
Meanwhile, RuPaul’s Drag Race stat Shangela added: ‘SNATCHED BALD!!!’
Dany’s iconic wig came under fire as season eight of the fantasy series kicked off last month.
Eagle-eyed viewers noticed a glaring continuity error in the opening episode, titled Winterfell, where the character wore two completely different hair pieces in a blink-and-you’d-miss-it moment.
Hair aside, the show’s current series has seen a number of blunders, including the coffee cup saga last week where a cup was left in shot of Dany’s intense scene with Jon Snow (Kit Harington).
Addressing the gaffe, Game of Thrones art director Hauke Richte told Variety it’s not uncommon for items to end up misplaced on set, go unnoticed and appear in the final cuts of movies and TV shows.
Richte continued: ‘Things can get forgotten on set.’
