There is a game of thrones mod for the paradox game "Mount and blade warband" which is an awesome rpg based on commanding armies into battle.
Its not called "free world" its open world… free roam
and maybe with combat from assassins creed đ

Or Total War. Yes, there are mods, but the game based on ASOIAF universe by Creative Assembly would be utterly gorgeous.

GoT Mod for Medieval 2 would rock.
There already is a very well made Game of Thrones M&B Mod called "A Clash of Kings". It kinda lacks the intrigue and feel of GoT, but still very good.
