He may be Bran Stark – aka The Three-Eyed Raven – but a man must still go to university when all is said and done.
That’s right, Game Of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead-Wright is planning on swapping the halls of Winterfell for the lecture halls of school.
The 19-year-old was determined to carry on with his education, so went to study math in Birmingham. But he really struggled to move around campus like a normal student, well, because he is one the leads of the biggest telly programmes out there.
So, of course, it did not take long for other students to clock that they were studying alongside Bran Stark, the very same man that has the power to pretty much know everything in Westeros and beyond.
Speaking to Esquire Magazine, Isaac recently said: ‘I had the nicest flatmates. But it made it quite difficult to make friends. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to have a normal university experience, which is kind of sad.
‘I couldn’t relax and go out and have a drink or get drunk or whatever, because if I did someone would be like: “I saw Bran and he was all f***** up”.
‘I was a bit of a hermit. My ex-girlfriend came up to visit and we just sat in my room for a week.’
And going out for a cheeky drink – like must students do – was a nightmare for him as it turned into a ‘massacre’ because of the attention he received.
He also received awkward e-mails from other students that read: ‘Hi Three-Eyed Raven!’
It will all be over soon, as Game of Thrones is coming back to the UK for its very last season in the early hours of Monday 15 April 2019 on Sky Atlantic.
Make sure to beware of spoilers, because the episode will be shown in the US on Sunday 14 April before the UK has its turn.
Get ready for longer episodes too as Bran – sorry, we mean Isaac – has teased some epic get-togethers and big battles.
‘All the episodes are longer, more or less,’ he said. ‘Obviously, there are some big battles. Episode three is going to be something else.
‘There are definitely things wrapping up from many, many seasons ago where you’re like: “Oh, I never thought that would come back.’
Game Of Thrones series eight premieres in the UK 15 April.
