Game of Thrones actor Jack Gleeson has reportedly married his long-term partner, actress and comedian Róisín O’Mahony in a very intimate ceremony.

The couple had a small, private ceremony at The Sacred Heart Church in The Glen, Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, Ireland.

Parish priest, Father Patsy Lynch, shared the news to the world when he tweeted in a since-deleted tweet about the event on Monday, writing: “Very simple, prayerful and dignified marriage ceremony for Film Celebrity Jason [Jack] Gleeson and Roisin: The Glen Church.”

He also posted pictures of the couple alongside that caption. In one of the photos, Róisín can be seen in a pastel-coloured dress with flowers in her hand and Gleeson is dressed in a green shirt and grey dress pants as they stand next to the priest.

In another, the happy couple were all smiles as Jack wrapped his arm around his partner as they smiled at the camera, surrounded by their tiny audience seated at the church pew at the wedding.

In an interview with the Irish Independent, the priest then revealed that Monday’s event was actually a “pre-wedding ceremony” and that the real wedding would occur later.

“The real ceremony will take place over in England, but the family have been holidaying down here in Ballinskelligs, The Glen, for many years and they have so many happy memories here,” he said.

“We had a lovely, prayerful, dignified wedding ceremony. Jack texted me this morning to say that it was such a wonderful, moving ceremony and afterwards they went for a meal,” he added.

“Everyone down here knows Jack and that shows they’re just part of the whole community,” he explained, “When I met him, it was as if we knew each other all our lives, he’s that kind of person. There’s nothing artificial.”

Digital Spy has reached out to Gleeson’s representatives for comment.

Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray. House of the Dragon will be airing season one weekly in the US on Sundays on HBO and on Mondays in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
