Jon Snow is the moral center of HBO’s Game of Thrones, and his power comes from his dual nature as both a dragon and a wolf.
The Kit Harington character is both ice and fire, a Stark and a Targaryen. He embodies the core values and deeper messages at the heart of the story. Support ScreenPrism on Patreon:

THE KING IN THE NORTH ! ! gets up and bends the knee
You know what that means, the Dragonborn is from Solitude.
You didn't mention how everyone in that bargaining scene was wearing Stark colors.
Jon isn't all that good though. Jon betrayed the watch, killed a child, and stole his sister's rightful power of Winterfell. Jon stumbled into almost everything while making the stupidest decisions possible. Letting the wildlings in without explaining clearly why he’s doing which gets him stabbed, betraying the watch (something no one brings up), not trying to gather more northern houses to his side before fighting the Boltens, charging by himself to save Rickon, having Sansa win the battle by requesting help from Littlefinger though a convenient deus ex machina and plenty of other decisions. He’s probably the worst leader to have. And than of course he’s neojesuslukeskywalker secretly in a show that breaks tropes.
Can't wait for season 8
Great video. Pls make an analysis of house Tully
I sometimes think how interesting would be to see a confrontation between Ygritte and Dani. I don’t think there’s 2 more different women in this story, truly ice vs. fire.
What does it mean when John was burned by the lantern when killing his first other
He is a powerful warg too! To bad the show didn’t explore this…. well all the Starks children’s are wargs
Awesome video still.
Jon Snow is a Targeryan in the show. But its debatable in the books.
This is an elementary analysis
"Cool video"
Do one for Cersei!!
I love your videos and thank you so much for this one. Jon is my favorite character and it's because of the same reasons you so well put it here. Keep up the good job.
Asks Mance to bend the knee and forget pride, Dany asks the same thing. Forgives the Umbers ad Karstarks for their father's mistakes, Dany again asks the same. Tells Theon the words he will need to hear himself next season. Looks like other people's key moments play a significant role in preparing him for his own key moments; he would have to be pretty thick not to make the connection, learn from these people's experiences and apply his own words of wisdom to himself. LOL
Jon surviving near freezing water beyond the wall is another mithic power
the day will come, which jon (in contrast to theon) has definitely to choice between stark and targaryen..u all will see..
I take it that the message GRRM was trying to deliver is that the unlikely people in this story are the real heroes; Tyrion is the worthy Hand; Jon is the kingly & honorable bastard; etc.
But if Jon is a Targaryen, then his arc is meaningless; i.e. it doesn’t matter that you’ve proven your worth through action & sacrifice, what matters is that you’re born into wealth & power; that negates GRRM’s entire message … unless I’m missing something …
1. Gets elected to be the lord commander of the nights watch not even sighing up for it.
2. Made King in the North without even asking for it.
3 . When they tell him that he's a Targ and rightful king of the 7 kingdoms, he's gonna be like "If you stop electing me for shit I didn't sign up for it'll be great "
He HAS ridden a dragon. In fact, he rode the mother of them.
Im happy this got into my recom. Awesome video!
You guys should make videos about Black Sails.
Please do an analysis on Mr. Robot or Ash vs Evil Dead!
the narrators voice is comforting… im just nodding my head with everything she says.. like ''yeah, aha, ok''
i really want to know what she looks like……
This video is really cool. I would like to see a video about the parallelism between Jon (Ice) and Daenerys (Fire) who are the key to the story (GRR Martin told it to the producers of the show, Alan Taylor revealed it in an interview). I want a video on the Song of Ice and Fire!
Def one of the better videos I've seen.. Very good work, enjoyed this.
Kit Harington is husband-goal of our generation. It is known.
I enjoy how you blend the main content with the ad at the end. It's funny and surprisingly non-jarring.
He was raised solely by Starks so the Targaryen characteristics of personality hadnt chance to manifest for better or worse
Carol Peletier needs an analysis! Love the work
Jon will sacrifice himself and die. Dany will die give birth to Jon's Son/Daughter. That Son/Daughter will be the ruler that bring peace and prosperity to the lands, guided by Tyrion, Varys and Missandei. Protected by Jaimie and Grey Worm.
