GAME of Thrones star Kit Harington has explained why his first scene with Emilia Clarke was so “exciting” for him.
Fans had to wait until season seven episode three for fan favourite characters Jon Snow (Kit) and Daenarys Targaryen (Emilia) to finally meet.

While the iconic meeting became beloved among Game of Thrones viewers, Kit has explained why it was so exciting to finally film with his real-life friend Emilia after six years of the show.
Speaking at ACE Comic Con, he explained: “We had obviously known each other for a long time but lived in completely separate worlds in this universe that we were in.
“What was really exciting was that first scene when Jon walks into the Dragonstone throne room and sees her for the first time.

“This isn’t a world where you have Facebook and Twitter and Instagram, like, he’s never seen this woman before, Daenerys, but he’s heard about her, the Dragon Queen.”
Their meeting ended up resulting in each other’s demise, with Jon stabbing the queen in the heart and then being banished beyond the wall in the final episode.
However, Kit was still happy to finally meet Emilia’s character.

He concludes: “For us, for me and Emilia, it was really exciting because we had been friends for six years and seen each other’s work, but never got to meet.”
Their meeting instantly became iconic after being turned into a meme.
When Jon enters the room, Missandei steps forward and delivers every single one of Daenerys’ titles: “You stand in the presence of Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, rightful heir to the Iron Throne, rightful Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains.”
