Game Of Thrones star Kit Harington struggled to get romantic with his co-star Emilia Clarke.
Fans saw Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen become lovers in season seven with their newfound relationship set to continuing into the final season.
The actors have become close friends through making the show which made acting out Jon and Dany’s romance tricky.
‘The first scene we had together we both just started laughing,’ Emilia, who plays Daenerys, told Variety.
‘Why are you looking at me this strange way and saying these strange lines? You’re my friend?’
Adding that Kit used to pretend to hurl during filming, she said: ‘Oh my God, mate. You’re not making this any easier!’
Season eight will see the couple learn the truth about Jon’s parents, which is going to put a spanner in the works for their relationship.
Jon is the son of Lyanna Stark and Daenerys’ brother Rhaegar, making him her nephew and ahead of her in line to the Iron Throne.
Explaining how the bombshell could complicate things a bit, Kit told TV Insider: ‘Jon is someone who plays by the book. He cannot lie. Finding out about Dany would be very hard for him.’
Emilia added: ‘Daenerys’ life long dream has been to avenge her family and claim her rightful seat on the Iron Throne.
‘She truly loves Jon. Were she to find out about his title, it would cut deep.’
Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss recently spoke about how they would struggle to get back to normal life after being immersed in Westeros for so many years.
‘It’s the best job I’ve ever had or ever likely will have’ Benioff told Entertainment Weekly.
He added: ‘You have all these characters you love and you can come up with ideas for them, and a few months later these incredible actors will be saying those things. That’s such a rare gift.’
Weiss weighed in: ‘If 10 years ago somebody had given me a chance to write a ticket, I wouldn’t have been crazy enough to write a ticket to something this great.’
Game Of Thrones returns 14 April on Sky Atlantic and HBO, and is available to watch on NOW TV.
