  1. "Run along now, grow strong." She says that half affectionately and half mockingly, but those girls will need to grow strong fast now that all the prime golden roses have been cut down.

  2. My favorite Olenna's lines. The skill to mock yourself is for the few:

"Roses are boring, dear. 'Growing Strong'. Ha! The dullest words of any house. 'Winter Is Coming', ah, that's memorable. 'We Do Not Sow'. Strong, strong. Those houses you watch out for. Dire wolves and krakens, fierce beasts. But a golden rose growing strong? Ha! That strikes fear in the heart".

  3. This conversation led to Joffreys death. Olenna already had the intent to kill Joffrey after Sansa confirmed Joffrey to be a monster.

Vary's insight into Littlefinger's boldness prompted Olenna to seek him out and coordinate Joffrey's death, which they did in S5 E7 in Littlefingers brothel.

  4. Man, I would love to be with a women like Olenna, true to her words, straight forward, sharp tongue, very supporting for people who are true to themselves, unafraid, but protective and caring to people she loves, and a great sense of humor.

  5. "A babe in the woods", Sansa Stark has come so far since her time in Kings Landing.

To be fair, I think many people were too harsh with her when she was there; she was bought up and encouraged to seek aspirations and dreams as a princess and a lady, whether by her upbringing or the songs and stories that were read to her. When that veil was taken from her, she played the prisoner and hostage well and used the only weapon she had left as her disposal: her manners.

I mean… imagine if she was like Arya when she was a hostage. Joffrey ordered Ned's head, and he was Warden of the North so, I don't think he would have hesitated to have her killed (albeit secretly). Even when she played meek, he still shamed her publicly by having her clothes torn off and having her beaten. I say, well done to Sansa; she's played the game well ever since season 2.

  6. It makes me sad how Varys does show he did admired and liked Ned Stark a lot. Vatys knew Nrd was a good man and keeper of peace. The North was the happiest kingdom of the seven, because Ned was respected by everyone. That said, Varys had his arms crossed about saving Ned. Like Varys said, he could make an attempt to liberate Ned, but just like when he liberated Tyrion, it would mean the end of his servitude since it would be obvious it was either him or LittleFinger, and Cersei and Joffrey saw what LittleFinger did. So the suspect is obvious. But I say, Varys SHOULD have freed Ned and go North with him. Varys as a councelour for The North would be good. But the problem is, that Varys thoughy Ned was safe if he took the black. Varys pribably knew as soon as Ned arrived North, he wouldn't really reach The Wall. Even if he did tried, The Northeners wouldn't allowed it, and Lord Commander mormont wouldn't accept him considering how important he is to The North. So all in all, Varys says "why risk it when there is a safer way" but he didn't took to account Joffrey…
