A couple weeks back, we gave away a copy of the Game of Thrones season 7 Blu-ray boxset, out now on store shelves. For our follow-up, we’re giving away…another copy! It’ll all be done through the next episode of WiC Live, our weekly chat show, streamed on our Facebook page every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. CST.
In addition to all seven episodes from season 7, the Blu-ray boxset comes with all kinds of bells and whistles, including:
- 11 audio commentaries spread throughout each episode, featuring people like showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and more.
- From Imagination to Reality: Inside the Art Department. This two-part featurette revolves around production designer Deborah Riley and her art department. How did they go about creating the sets for Casterly Rock, Highgarden, the Dragonpit, Dragonstone 2.0, and more?
- Fire & Steel: Creating the Invasion of Westeros. The cast and crew sound off about the biggest moments of the season in interviews.
- Conquest & Rebellion: An Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms. Written by Game of Thrones staff writer and loremaster Dave Hill, this series will focus on Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros some 300-odd years before the events of the series. Narrators include Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy), Conleth Hill (Varys), Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), and Harry Lloyd (Viserys Targaryen).
- Eight History and Lore features, mini-documentaries that dive into select parts of the show’s mythology. This time around, you’ll get features on things like the Dragonpit, the Golden Company, Highgarden, and the Rains of Castamere. Sample the latter below:
If you want a chance to win the boxset, here’s what to do:
- The new episode of WiC Live will start at 4:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, January 3. Head to our Facebook page to watch it live.
- Towards the middle of the show, we’ll ask a trivia question about Game of Thrones and/or A Song of Ice and Fire. When you hear the question, email your answer to [email protected]. That’s me.
- The first person to email me a correct answer wins! I’ll then write that person back with congratulations and ask for a full name and address. If you get back to me with that stuff within 24 hours, I’ll ship the set out to you! If you don’t, you’ll forfeit your right to the set, and I’ll move on to the person who sent in their correct answer next-quickest, and so on until I get a usable response.
You have to be over 18 and a resident of the United States for a chance to win the boxset. Apologies to fans from elsewhere in the world.
